BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Yash Kumar graduated from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and completed his surgery training at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Kumar is Board Certified in General Surgery with additional training in the latest invasive and non-invasive procedures for treating diseases of the veins.After performing surgery for varicose veins for more than 25 years, he founded The Vein Center of Maryland, where he is currently the director. Dr. Kumar offers a solid background in leading edge procedures such as Laser Venous Ablation (closure of varicose veins); Radiofrequency Venusclosure, Sclerotherapy (injection of a chemical irritant into a vein causing it to harden, close, and eventually disappear); and Ambulatory Phlebectomy, (excision of a segment of a vein). He performs these highly successful techniques in his newly completed state-of-the-art surgery center.Dr. Kumar’s patients have experienced comfortable treatments with minimal recovery needs and effective results. Jennifer Ballas currently performs sclerotherapy and laser vein treatments in Westminster. She also does cosmetic injectables like Botox and dermal fillers in Bel Air. Jennifer also has experience working in plastic surgery.

BIOGRAPHY
Jennifer Ballas attended Mercy College of Ohio. After becoming a registered nurse, she worked at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge General Medical Center and Carroll Hospital Center. She has over 20 years of experience in the nursing field including in plastic surgery.  Jennifer recently joined Dr. Kumar’s practice at The Vein Center of Maryland. She performs sclerotherapy and laser vein treatments in the Westminster office. She also performs cosmetic injections like Botox and fillers at the Bel Air office.
Krystal “Kit” AlcottKrystal “Kit” Alcott, PA-C, RVT, RPhS

Krystal is a highly experienced Physician Assistant specializing in vascular medicine and venous disease. She began her career after graduating from Gulf Coast State College in 2010 as a Registered Vascular Technologist before earning her Physician Assistant degree from Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, Florida, in 2017.

Kit holds advanced certification in the treatment of venous disease and maintains her Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS) credential. Over the course of her career, she has performed thousands of vascular ultrasounds and minimally invasive vascular procedures, developing extensive expertise in vascular imaging and vein care.

Beyond clinical practice, Kit has contributed to the education and training of healthcare providers and sonographers across the country, helping support excellence in vascular diagnostics and treatment techniques. She is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and believes in helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout every step of their treatment journey.
